In the meantime, I have managed to get my hands on how to setup email for your T-Mobile phone for few email services; AOL, Comcast, AT&T, and other email services as well.

I have to go really quick on this one so I have compiled them into one post to save some time. Therefore please look back at my example of the ID and password to be used in my previous post; prepaidmobilephone123 is the username/ID and password is m081LeP40n3. In all of my examples below, I will use these login information just for your own reference. If you do have any question on how to setup your t-mobile phones for emails, then please leave your comments here or just email me. How to Setup Comcast POP3 email for your T-Mobile Phones

We’ll first go to setting up the incoming messages or emails for your Comcast account. As usual, enter your Comcast email’s username without entering the @comcast.net. In other words, instead of putting prepaidmobilephone123@comcast.net, you have to just enter “prepaidmobilephone123”. Later, put in your case-sensitive email password which is in our case here, m081LeP40n3. Change the POP3 server to “mail.comcast.net” (without the quotes, of course) and then change the port to “995”. When you see the security type, change the setting to “SSL always”.

That's it for setting up the incoming Comcast emails.

Next we have to configure the outgoing Comcast email settings for your T-Mobile Dash phones. You may have to change the SMTP server to “smtp.comcast.net” and then change the port to “465”. Again, change the security type to “SSL always” and checked the box for “Require sign-in”. Then enter again your email login details where the username should be “prepaidmobilephone123” without the @comcast.net and the case-sensitive password should be “m081LeP40n3”.

Congratulations! You have just configured your T-Mobile phone to be able to receive and send Comcast emails. (back to top)

How to Setup AT&T email for your T-Mobile Phones

To setup your AT&T POP3 account in your T-Mobile phones, you should first setup the incoming emails settings by putting your AT&T username. This time you have to enter the username including the @att.net, therefore it should like this – prepaidmobilephone123@att.net. The password should be entered correctly since it is case-sensitive like this - m081LeP40n3. After that please change the POP3 server to “fpostoffice.isp.att.net” and then change the incoming port to “995”. If you see security type settings, change it to “SSL always”.

Once you have setup the incoming settings, go and setup the AT&T outgoing email settings. Enter the SMTP server as “fmailhost.isp.att.net” and then change the outgoing port to “465”. Again you have to change the security type to “SSL always”. Whenever you see “Require sign-in”, check the username or just enter your full username to prepaidmobilephone123@att.net. Finally enter your password (remember, it is case-sensitive) such as m081LeP40n3. (back to top)

How to Setup AOL or AIM email for your T-Mobile Phones

As usual we have to first setup the incoming AOL email settings by entering your username into the field. In this case, your username should be your screen name, for example, “prepaidmobilephone123”. Enter your case-sensitive password and then change the POP3 server to “pop.aol.com” (if your email is prepaidmobilephone123@aol.com) or enter “pop.aim.com” (if your email is prepaidmobilephone123@aim.com ). Change the port to “110” and choose “none” for the security type.

To setup your outgoing AOL email or AIM email for your T-Mobile phones, you must first enter your screen name and the password. Change the SMTP server to “smtp.aol.com” or “smtp.aim.com”. later you have to change the outgoing port to “587”. Check the “Require sign-in” option and leave the security type to “none”. Then you are good to go to read AOL emails or AIM emails in your T-Mobile phones. (back to top)

How to Setup Optimum Online or CableVision POP3 Email for Your T-Mobile Phone

The username to be used should be “prepaidmobilephone123” instead of prepaidmobilephone123@optonline.net. Make sure then you enter your email password correctly as lower and upper case letters matter. Change the POP3 server to “mail.optonline.net” and incoming port to “110”. Later change the security type to “TLS”. To setup the OptimumOnline (OOL) outgoing emails, enter again your username and password and change the SMTP server to “mail.optonline.net”. change the outgoing port to “587”, check the “Require sign-in” option and choose “none” for the security type.

In my next post I will try to guide you on how to setup Hotmail email account in your T-Mobile Phone. There’s a workaround to be done since T-Mobile does not support Hotmail or MSN and what’s more, free Hotmail email does not support POP3. We will discuss on how to let that possible; to receive and send Hotmail emails from your T-Mobile phone. (back to top)

Can you make money from using Maxis Hotlink prepaid?

If you are a long time user of Hotlink, then I believe you have more than the knowledge on how Maxis charges you for anything and everything. Why waste the money for things you do not really need when you can actually earn money from it? You may not be as rich as Ananda Krishnan, the owner of Maxis Malaysia, but at least you can earn some money from all the telcos though you stick with Maxis Hotlink.

What if I use Celcom Xpax?

I know that sometimes you don't have the courage to try switching from one service to another. You might say that you are not sure about the advantages of other phone plans or network. Frankly say, that unsure feeling is just something you developed inside you due to successful marketing strategy from Celcom. Either using Celcom Xpax or Blue, it won't matter and you don't have to worry much if you plan to switch to Hotlink or Digi. Remember, at this time the cost to change or transfer is still free and therefore take advantage of that. Change and try it for a month and then you can always change back to your original provider. However, as far as money is concern, go for package that offers you lower call rates and that will absolutely help you to earn more money when you join Mymode.
