Custom ROM Gingerbread 2.3.7 on HTC Hero

Happy New Year to all and I hope this new year will bring joy and happiness, more fun than ever. 2012 was a great year I must say but being an optimist I believe 2013 brings better future and gazillions of superb gadgets for us! Everybody knows by now that Android has been the 'king' in mobile operating system, beats Nokia, the once-so-great mobile product, beats iPhone (in virtually everything!) and now with its new version of Jelly Bean 4.1, there's simply no reason why Android won't defend the throne for at least another few more years.

Android phones have been around for many years yet I haven't got the chance to use one until last year. Yes, I'm wayyyy behind when it comes to Android and even the first Android that I own is still version 2.1. My first Android phone is HTC Hero GSM. To be honest, I didn't plan to have an android phone left alone a htc phone. I was still using my old-good-local-made phone when one day it keeps on rebooting on its own. I was at the office at the time at my desk and while I was trying my best to stop it from rebooting with no apparent reason, my boss walked out from her office and walked past behind me. She saw what I was doing and asked what was wrong.

I told her what happened with the phone and we both had no clue why the phone acted that strange. After some time she told me that she had just bought a new phone for herself which is HTC One X. Her old smartphone, HTC Hero is still in good condition and she had not decided what to do with the phone.

She then decided to give the htc hpone to me.

And so that's my first android phone. When I first got the phone, I got so excited that I googled all about android specifically htc smartphones. After hours spent on researching , I finally decided that the hct hero is one great and stable phone. There's nothing I don't like about the phone except for one small fact; it's on android 2.1 Eclair.

The interface is super fine and it runs smoothly as I flick my fingers across the screen up and down left and right. I checked all the settings and tried my best to fiddle with it to further improve its already wonderful performance. I already knew that android OS has been drastically developed and updated from 2.1 to 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) to 4.1 Jelly Bean, however, the development was not able to be reaped by HTC Hero users as HTC has no plan to provide an official upgrade for htc hero phones. I suspect OEMs are more interested in getting people to buy their newer phones and gadgets instead of tinkering their old phones so users could upgrade from eclair 2.1 to better version.

The HTC Hero GSM never receives official upgrade from android 2.1 to greater android version.

Amazingly, I found out that out there there is a group of android enthusiasts and fortunately most of them are good in developing the system. They managed to alter the open source operating system and came up with what we know now as custom ROMs. Custom roms are used to flash the htc hero phones - once done you will have your own home-baked OS android.

HTC Hero phones can be flashed so we can upgrade them to higher version. I spent a great deal of time reading from forum to forum and from one blog to another blog just to understand how to properly flash my htc hero gsm.

Then I found Cyanogenmod. What is cyanogenmod? It's a bunch of custom roms developed by the cyanogenmod group. These roms are then altered by others to create their own version of cyanogenmod.

I finally decided to try flashing my htc hero phone with altered version of cyanogenmod 7 which is elelinux-7.2-hero-v3.9. This custom rom allows the htc phone to be upgraded to android 2.3.7 Gingerbread. I find the rom quite clean but it seems like it munches quite a big portion of RAM. It lags at times and I had experienced multiple times of reboots when I tried to run waze app. I switched to another custom rom - this time I got it from xda-developer forum. The developer, 1ceb0x, thanks to him, created this based on another custom rom, Decked_X.

As awesome as his name, 1ceb0x calls this rom Shpongle v3.7.

Minutes after installing shpongle, I can't help but I must tell you guys that I really really love this rom! It is incredibly super fast and heavily decorated to give users ICS feel although it runs as gingerbread.

There's a lot to talk about when it comes to android phones and its reputation as an open source mobile operating system. I thought I read somewhere (or maybe someone told me that haha) that Google is planning to come out with their very own phone instead of using other OEM's phones as their flagship product.

I am new to android and a newbie in customizing my android phone - therefore I will do my best to tell you guys my journey in finding the best custom rom for my htc hero gsm android smart phone. So, if you are new too, don't hesitate to let me know or ask me. Sometimes we don't feel comfortable asking in forums or that it's hard to keep up with the forum thread. Don't worry, we can always help each other :-)

Until next time, take care guys!

Cell Phones for Kids

Parents are concerned about what type of cell phones that is suitable to be given to their children. There are number of reasons why they want to provide the best cell phones for their kids. Cell phones are meant to be the medium to communicate easily between both the parents and the kids. However, kids tend to have a different set of issues with handling the cell phone itself as well as making the most out of the cell phones. Unfortunately, the cell phone markets for kids are not as gigantic as the cell phones for business and adults. Therefore, it is hard to find the right cell phones for kids.

First of all let’s take a look at few questions that parents should ask themselves first before deciding to buy a cell phone for their kids:

- What is the main reason you want to give your child a cell phone?
- Have you trained your child about responsibilities that he or she should take once he or she gets the cell phone?
- Have you thought about the issues that might arise after you get your kids a cell phone?
- When would be the times your kids can use the cell phones?
- Do your kids spend most of their times at school?

Based on the feedbacks I received from parents, I have concluded that there is one important reason why they gave their kids cell phones. They want to provide their kids a secure and easy-to-access way for the kids to contact the parents during emergencies. This is the main factor. For instance, if you regularly pick your children from school, you want them to be protected all the time while waiting for you to arrive. You want to ensure that they inform you in any circumstances where they are and what are their activities.

Getting a cell phone for your children is an easy task but the real task is to teach them the responsibility to take care of the cell phone. You have to teach them not to abuse it in any possible ways. The kids have to learn how to use the cell phone in a good manner and they must also learn the reasoning behind giving them one. There’s no point giving the kids a cell if it simply because they ask to have it.

Why would your kids ask for cell phones? Well, it’s all about influence. There are families out there who can afford to provide their children with cell phones for no apparent reasons whatsoever. So when your kids see their friends with cell phones, they would also want to have one.

A child is a child and they normally acts like a child should. Seeing another friend of his or her toying with their cell phone, probably a smart phone like Android cell phone or even iPhone triggers that feeling of wanting to have one of his or her own. They know how expensive that gadget is, yet the urge to hold one and the excitement of keeping one in their pocket has clouded their judgment.

Well, it happens to us adult too :-) Get what I mean?

So is it good to give my child a cell phone? I mean a real cell phone?

Yes and no.

Why don't you make a list of both pros and cons of giving a cell phone to your child?

If pros reasons are way more than the contras, then save some bucks and give them a durable cell phone - a decent one but not necessarily expensive one. While saving your money to buy that cell phone, tell your child that you are saving some money so you can buy a cell phone for them. Tell them how you come to your decision and how hard it is to keep some money to buy his or her needs. Let them know that you know and you do care.

On the other hand, if cons are more, you may choose not to buy one for your child. However, keep in your mind that the list you made is relevant during the time you prepared it. Reasons might change as time flies. Spend some time every month to re-check the list. Add in new things in either sides; or minus any that are no longer relevant. At the same time, stash some of your money away every month as preparation; just in case if one day the weight is more to pros, then by the time you may already have enough money to buy one cell phone for your child.

Remember; you are not just buying a cell phone for your kid, but you also have to keep maintaining the bill. This may also be a time for you to decide which cell hpone plan you would like to subscribe; prepaid or post-paid? That calls for another discussion another time but you may look around ask around. Somebody somewhere knows what is best and probably has the right experience to share with you.

Should I give my child an Android cell phone? Why not, if you have the moolah. Spend your time around cell pohne shops; ask the phone promoter the goods and bads of any phone you are interested in. Find out if it's good for your kid (not for you!). An android phone has all the features people want today; calling and receiving calls, sending and receiving text messages (SMS), exchanging multimedia message or pictures, and you know what's the best part? They usually come with wifi feature. Your kid can go online and access various things on his or her phone.

Buying an android phone for your child means you are giving your child the freedom to access social interactive websites such as Facebook. At the same time, they can access other things you don't want them to; so give it a super deep thought before you decide on buying one. Sure, you can block certain things but you can't block everything.

Okay, I'll buy an iPhone then for my son?

Whoa you must be one rich guy who likes to spoil their children haha no I'm just kidding. Well, like I said earlier if you can afford it, by all means just go and get one for your son. Again, just like an Android phone, your kid can access the Internet and it is very hard for you to supervise everything they do.

Give your beloved child a gadget that is useful and good enough for him or her to facilitate everyone needs; efficient communication. I think that's the main reason why a cell phone was invented in the first place.

Later guys... :-)

International Cell Phones

Can I Use My Cell Phone Outside of the Country
Whenever you travel abroad one of the most important thing that need to be put on your things-to-bring list is your cell phone. It will be your means to communicate with your loved ones and family as well as your business colleagues back in your home country. Some may prefer to communicate using emails and video conferences as these mediums are quite cheaper than other ways. However, thanks to rapid technology advancements, you can now use your cell phone to communicate breezily anytime and anywhere around the world regardless of where you are or where the other person is located.

There is one problem though; can you go and travel outside of your home country and still use your own mobile phone to contact those at your home country? For the purpose of this discussion, say that you are traveling to any of Europe countries and you want to contact someone in United States with your cell phone which is provided by US cell phone provider. Can you still call them? If you can call them, how much will the calls cost you? Would it be significantly higher than normal call rate?

What I’m trying to discuss here has nothing to do with telling your cell phone provider to global-roaming your mobile phone. No, this is about using the same SIM card and only one SIM card. I’m talking about how you can save significantly a lot of money with using this method and the same time enjoy the benefits of using this facility hassle-free. We are going to take a look at how to use any prepaid SIM in any European country regardless of who provides your mobile phone service.

Before we go any further, I would like to remind you though that to make sure that you can utilize this facility, your cell phone has to be either a 900 MHz or 1800 MHz GSM band. If your mobile phone has both of them, then that would be an extra advantage for you since that would mean you have more choices.

What the heck is GSM?

GSM is an acronym for Global System for Mobile communications which is the most common standard for mobile phones anywhere in the world. GSM is actually a cellular network which is used by our mobile phones to connect to by searching for cells in the immediate vicinity. So as I mentioned earlier about 900 MHz and 1800 MHz, that figures are the frequency ranges or bands that are common to be operated among most GSM networks. There are other bands as well such as 850 MHz and 1900 MHz bands which are available at only certain countries like in the United States and Canada.

In other words, GSM is used to develop a common cellular phone system across various countries so you can use it anywhere around the world. All these networks behind the GSM system is too large and complicated to be understood by laymen people like you and me, but they are all there to provide all of the services that we enjoy today. One of the easiest function that is available due to this technology is when you dial 112 on your mobile phone that will automatically redirect the call to emergency lines at the respective country no matter where you bought the mobile phone. For example, if your mobile phone was purchased in the US, you will be redirected to Australian emergency line 000 if you happen to dial the 112 number whenever you are in Australia.

Back to our discussion, this technique allows you to use only one SIM card on your GSM cell phone to make outgoing calls and also receiving inbound calls regardless of where you are located or where your native SIM card country is. I think I can safely say that this facility is very useful for those who travel a lot especially among Europe countries. I should also point out to you that using this facility is somehow cheaper than activating your current mobile phone to roaming state.

Allow me to introduce you guys to one of the best international prepaid cards, United Mobile or fondly known as Riing. When you use this international SIM card, you will be using an international prefix +423. One of the biggest advantages of using this international prepaid card is you can get free incoming calls in eighty different countries worldwide. As far as I am concern, the service provided by this company is so far reliable since the company is considered as the oldest among all the other international prepaid GSM SIM cards.

Recently the company has collaborated with ICQ instant messenger to introduce a new international calling card which is called ICQsim which has the same +423 prefix number and the same rate as

Prepaid Cell Phone Stores in Georgia

I have listed below some cell phone stores scattered all over Georgia but honestly I have no idea whether they still are operating or not. Regardless, I trust that this list of georgia's cell phone stores would somehow help some fellas out there who have been persistently sent me emails (and some even tried to ym me!) about available stores in particular states in the United States. For those who have emailed me and requested for listing in other states such as in Pennsylvania or even extensive list of cell phone stores in the whole North America, please stay tuned as I am currently working on one.

If you do find any phone numbers that are no longer valid or if the store is no longer there for some undisclosed reasons :-), please take the effort of commenting down there at the end of this very article. I apologize again for not writing much all this while; my offline job has been demanding most of my time; plus when I got home, my priority goes to my one-year old daughter Zaraa. She has yet to blurt out her first word but she could now understand some words. Perhaps one fine day I would be able to teach her more about my job and my passion in writing so who knows she could continue to update this blog on my behalf lol.

Now back to business... I heard some news about used cell phone stores in woodland hills California. Does anybody know where their shops are? Please leave a comment and I sincerely appreciate that kind note. There are also used cell phone stores available in Edison New Jersey NJ but I just can't get the right list and addresses.

Oh yes, please also take some time to check out cell phones, mobile phones & wireless calling plans from Sprint available at their very site www.sprint.com. Not sure though if the sprint wireless service is available in Westchester California.

Again I would like to apologize for not writing down the list in a more proper order. I did some scheming but yet I did not manage to complete it. What you can do instead is press “Ctrl F” on your keyboard and search for your city or town which should bring you directly to the store for that respective town/city. I’m not sure what is the shortcut for Mac user to quickly find needed phrase but I’m sure you can figure it out. I will make sure that the next listing will be prettier than this one.

Is Tracfone Prepaid Plan Any Good?

I’m so sorry to few of my regular readers on how I have neglected this website for quite some time. I know that I have promised a lot of things in the past such as discussing about other prepaid phone plans in the United States or finding the right place to get activation promotional codes and so on. I truly am sorry and I would like to make it up to you guys by this post. However, allow me to write a few lines here on why I couldn’t find time to get to this prepaid phone blog. Like I said, I have no intention at all to do so and therefore I believe you all deserve some explanations. Hope you don’t mind guys, few of them are personal issues, so you might just say that these are all bs.

First of all I had trouble with my internet broadband connection. This is how it happened; I was trying to get onto my paid email account (no, it has nothing to do with finding out how to setup the smtp server for outgoing mail and all that horseshit) but somehow I had forgotten the password that I used for that particular paid email account. Therefore I decided to call up the customer support center. It took me a while to look up for the customer support phone number but since I was quite desperate to get it resolved (I have something to do with the paid email account, if you know what I mean), I patiently looked for it. Once I found the customer service phone number, I rang them up and I was greeted by a young Asian female representative (I have this so-called ability to recognize the accents).

So I told her about my problem (she didn’t say that word “problem” and she kept on referring to it as “issue”) and she did security verified me. She asked for my permission to get the email password to be reset so I confirmed that by saying yes. Just before she said something else, I interrupted and questioned her whether the password changes would affect my internet broadband password. She said it won’t affect it at all and I shouldn’t face any issue (problem) with that. So I said alright and she proceeded with creating a remedy case for me to be escalated to the resolving team. I waited for a few minutes (I was put on hold) and when she returned, she informed that the technician from the team will be contacting me and assisted me within 24 business hours. I thanked her and hung up the phone.

After that I continued with stumbling from one site to another for a few hours looking for more information about Tracfone prepaid cell phone plan. I was actually planning to do an extensive research on Tracfone prepaid phone plans and presented the research here at this blog. Then I got a call from my wife asking me the phone number for At&T customer support center. She said that she tried earlier calling using a stored number in her prepaid cell phone but she received error saying that “you have entered an incorrect phone number please try again”. I asked her for the phone number that she dialed and compared it with the number I have on my cell phone. It was the same one, so I told her that I will call her back and provide her with the correct phone number.

I tried calling att customer support center using the same number and guess what, I got the same error message “you have entered an incorrect phone number please try again”. So I looked up for the company’s phone number in the internet and found it. I tried the number and thank God I heard the right tone. So I dropped the call and instantly text message my wife’s cell phone and provided her with the correct att phone number. What a day, huh? After that I decided that I need a rest and shut my computer down as usual. I took a good short nap for two hours (short?) and woke up when my wife called me again and this time asked me to fetch her up from her office.

That night after dinner I didn’t go and sit down in front of my pc as usual but instead I went to sleep earlier than usual. Woke up around 8 am the next morning, I quickly fired up my computer and tada! That was when I found out that the connection was not there anymore. I tried to go to my homepage (Google home page of course) but I kept on getting this error “resolving host” while loading it up and then the usual no connection error. I was kept busy on finding what the problem was for about thirty minutes and I just couldn’t find the actual reason why there was no connection at all. I was wondering at that time whether it had something to do with the new accessories I bought for my computer. However, about a few seconds later the whole drama day I had yesterday suddenly came into my mind. Snap! That could be the reason! The team might have reset the whole thing; not just my paid email password but also my internet broadband connection’s password.

I couldn’t stand one minute after that thinking about that possibility and straight away called up the service center. Unfortunately on that particular day I didn’t manage to get any rep to speak to as the queue was quite long. I tried waiting for a few minutes but I just couldn’t be patient at that time. I hung up, changed, and drove my lousy car to the ISP’s office. I usually go there to pay my bills and my internet broadband bills so I know the area quite well that I got to park my car within minutes. Took the number and after waiting for about 5 minutes, I was called by the helpdesk representative. I told the guy everything from A to Z and I noticed that he kept nodding his head every 5 or 6 seconds; in kinda rhythmic acts. I wanted to laugh at that time but since I was too occupied with my story, which I had improvised and exaggerated here and there, I didn’t get the chance to laugh, let alone asked him why he did that obvious act.

This unexpected but unavoidable issue has been going on and on for more than 10 days and I am not satisfied with all this horseshit. I believe that the broadband company should do something about this since this is one of the main reasons other upcoming companies are getting more and more sales from those who don’t feel good about this service.

Guys, please forgive me for presenting you this stupid mistake which I will never repeat in the future. In the next post I will be presenting you with what I have promised earlier; the Tracfone stories. I will talk more on Tracfone activation promotional codes, Tracfone airtime pin numbers, Tracfone bonus codes 120 minutes, and also on Tracfone double minutes for life card. Please be patient on that and trust me, you will benefits a lot from that article soon.

Oh yes, Happy Memorial Day and for those from UK, Happy Bank Holiday!

Is Net10 Prepaid Plan a Good Phone Plan

For the past few months a lot of fantastic news and things had happened in the country. Some of those reports are just news and some could be used for our future references. We do need to learn from history so that we won’t be repeating the same mistake again and again. Unless you think that you are a genius person and you have your own instincts and senses not to try stupid things, you need to remember mistakes done by others so that you won’t be doing the same thing. Unfortunately, people tend to forget things easily as time passes by and therefore the history is repeated endlessly.

We see all these things everyday in our life. For instance, we have learned that we have to ensure that there is no coming traffic prior to crossing the street. Yet, accidents where pedestrians hit by motorists still happened. People are just ignorant. Yes, ignorance is bliss but miseries do happened because of it. We disregard few little things in our life so that we can catch up with the big ones. Regrettably, little things are like small pixels; accumulated to millions to pull together an image. They are of great importance as the big things.

Why am I so serious this time? Well, I have read on news here and there and to be honest, I am really disappointed at how people take things for granted. You were told to pay your due taxes before time, yet you decided to postpone the payment till the very last day. And when the time comes, you just don’t have the time to rush and make the payments. Later, when problem arises, you would claim that you have been discriminated by the authorities and start to blame other people. Dumb.

These scenarios are not something new to me. People created chaos not because they really are in trouble. It is because they asked for it. Let’s recall one of the biggest mistakes in history and see whether we can learn something from it. The Japanese attacked the Pearl Harbor in 1941 by surprise and killed thousands. The defenders at Pearl Harbor were unprepared, ammunition locks were locked, and aircrafts were parked wingtip to wingtip in the open. It was actually an evitable disaster if only everyone were prepared. The attack was a lesson to the US Army to be ready at all times.

Ok, I know that this post seemingly becoming a history lesson. I have no intention to do so actually. My intention was to let you know that there are many things about prepaid cell plans that are yet to be discovered by us. If we only look closely at each of the prepaid plans, we will be able to identify which plans have the most advantages so that you can subscribe to the best prepaid plan.

Today we are going to take a really long walk and this time Net10 has grabbed my attention. I lurked around in net10 cell phone forums only to find out some interesting information about net10. Now be very careful when I say “interesting phone plan” because I don’t mean that the cell phone plan is a great one neither a worst one. I also went to some other mobile forums to gather relevant information about net10 prepaid phone plans. Guess what, I found out many undiscovered things before about Net10 and this time around I will not let this great information buried just in threads in net10 forums or net10 blogs.

First of all I would like to remind you all once again that this discussion is not a promotional one neither a boycott one. My only intention is only to get you all to understand that people deserve to have good information and useful knowledge. Knowledge enriches your mind and once your mind is enriched with this net10 prpaid information, you will be a wiser person to decide on your own; would you buy net10 prepaid cell phone plan or would you start looking for other networks. In other words, it is all up to you and I am here just to show you few doors that could be leading to the right destination.

Relax yourself and move on to the next line.

Let’s get into the preliminary first on who is Net10. Net10 is actually owned by Tracfone, a reputable cell phone service provider in the United States and the company is based in Miami Florida. Now what actually amused me is the fact that net10 is offering a very cheap charge for minutes; all net10 minutes are net ten cents. That is why the company is delicately named Net10 in the first place and that is so wicked in my opinion. When Net10 was first introduced, it was simply evident that no other prepaid phone plans can beat that remarkable price and it didn’t take long for Net10 to penetrate the prepaid cell phone plan market in the United States.

As we all know, there are two different set of phone plans; contract-based phone plans and prepaid phone plans. As for Net10, it solely markets the benefits of using prepaid phone plans compared to using regular phone plans. One of the best things about using net10 prepaid phone plan is the easiness to buy the net10 prepaid refill phone cards. You can buy the net10 prepaid refill either via online or through the phone or you can also get the cards from any authorized net10 dealers. You can buy the prepaid phone cards as many as you want and you can keep them as the expiration date for the prepaid cards are only counted from the very first day you refill your net10 prepaid minutes.

"How to Check Your Prepaid Cell Phone Minutes"

I know that the most frequently asked question about prepaid cell phone plan is how to check the cell phone minutes. There are few ways to help you to check your net10 prepaid cell phone minutes apart from dialing a certain code. One of them is by visiting net10 website where you can login into your prepaid plan account and from there you are able to check many prepaid information about your phone. You can also check net10 prepaid minutes from there at the webpage. Having an online account to check your prepaid minuts is a bless and no one should have any trouble finding the information in the online prepaid account.

However there are few arguments on the net about the coverage provided by net10. I have seen many net10 complaints and almost all of those complaints are about net10 cell phone coverage and it seems like the company does not have a very good reputation in that area. As for me, that is a shame since when someone is thinking about getting a cell phone from a prepaid company, one of the first questions would be to know whether the cell phone company has the best coverage or not. If you are in Louisiana, you expect to be able to reach someone Texas or New York. You don’t want to have a good net10 coverage just in Louisiana and only be able to call someone in Louisiana only. You want the net10 prepaid coverage to be available at all states across the country. In this case, I believe that one of the most effective ways to know whether there are net10 coverage in particular areas is to have to be able check the net10 coverage map. With the net10 coverage map, you should be able to check out which areas have good coverage and which areas don’t.

Despite not having a good reputation in serving the best prepaid phone coverage all over the country, Net10 however has a great and sound reputation on its ability to serve the best call service. Many have agreed especially those who had change from another prepaid service to Net10 that they have never so far faced dropped calls issues. I see this as something good despite net10 is only a MNVO company and they bought prepaid minutes as a wholesale so that they can provide their own services to the people. I hope that net10 would keep up the good work in this and perhaps strive more to improve themselves in other critical areas.

Net10 Airtime

If you are just trying your luck to find on the net about net10 airtime codes, then I recommend you to forget that silly quest. What’s the point of looking for the net10 airtime codes when you can easily purchase the airtime refill prepaid cards at any authorized cell phone stores? You can either buy the net10 airtime cards at $30, $45, $60, or even a $100 net10 airtime code. As I have mentioned earlier, you can buy a few set of airtime refill cards and keep them till you really need it without having to rush to the prepaid stores whenever you run out of the prepaid minutes. The net10 airtime pin is on the prepaid refill card and you just have to enter the airtime pin on your cell phone and voila! Your cell phone airtime is refilled.

I am not sure about any discount on buying the net10 airtime because I have never encountered such information so far. There are few souls looking for the net10 airtime discount and they have emailed to me to give them some heads up but unfortunately, that kind of thing is out of my hands. However, I suggest that you check out the site regularly as sometimes there are some new announcements made from time to time and if there is any net10 airtime discount, the news should first be announce at their prepaid website.

Do you know why I really hate regular phone plan? Because I hate the idea that you have to pay a certain amount of fee to activate the plan before you can start using it. Think about it, the phone company is the one offering the service. They can easily activate your plan and vice versa. Why would you pay for activation fee then? Well, my only opinion is that the phone company is just going to steal away more money from you. That is not the case with net10. There is no net10 activation fee and once you subscribe to net10 service, you can just take the net10 sim card and install it to your cell phone (do I need to teach you how to install your sim card to your cell phone?) and then you are good to go. You can use the net10 service without paying any activation fee and till the day you feel that the net10 is not any good and you can just let the service expires on its own.

Another good thing about Net10 airtime is how you keep your cell phone minutes from not expiring on its own. As we all know, when you refill your prepaid phone with a $30 refill, the expiration date would be usually around 30 days from the day you activated the refill code. After that period, your service will be suspended and you won’t be able to make any calls though you still have some prepaid minutes left. If this happens, you can just refill your prepaid phone minutes with another net10 refill code and the previous net10 minutes balance will be rolled over to the new expiry date. This way you can keep the minutes from expiring for up to a year! Isn’t that fantastic?

Of course any company would always give some kind of rewards to their valued customers to ensure that the customers are loyal to their products. So does Net10 where it offers a lot of regular bonuses and rewards. Whenever you refill your net10 airtime, you will be rewarded with some points. These special points can be redeemed at the end of the day when they have reached certain levels. You can either redeem this points for an exchange in more free net10 bonus minutes or can you also exchange it with other net10 bonus codes. You can also use the points to download net10 free ringtones or other net10 multimedia downloads. If you are not that concern about net01 downloads, you can just stick with the basic redemptions by exchanging the points to have net10 easy minutes promo code.

Net10 International

What I like about net10 is its generosity when it comes to roaming your net10 prepaid cell phone. There will be no charges or fees on activating roaming service for your net10 phone whenever you want to go international. In short, net10 international callings will have no roaming activation and you will only be charged the normal rate for net10 international calls. Same goes to sending SMS from abroad to your family or to anyone using the net10 prepaid phone.

Net10 SMS Text Message

If a net10 call will cost you 10 cent per minute, what would you think about the SMS? It’s even lower than that haha. It’s only 5 cents per SMS sent. However, I still don’t condone to the idea of paying for the SMS received. I don’t find it logical since if some annoying people got your cell phone number, and decide to spam you with some text messages, you will be paying more than what you actually used which is just not fair. In my humble opinions, you should only be paying for net10 SMS whenever you are the sender, not someone else. If that is possible and Net10 eliminates that cost of receiving the SMS, then I am happy to promote net ten all the time in this blog lol.

Net10 Compatible Cell Phones

There are many cell phones offered by Net10 and they are Net10 LG 300, Net10 LG 600, Net10 600g, net10 lg300g, net10 motorola w375, Motorola V176, Motorola W370, W377, and few more other mobile phones. Those I have named are just amongst the cell phones from Net10 but I think you can easily see from that that there are no really stylish cell phones amongst them. But if you are not that savvy and your main concern is you can easily make and receive phone calls without much hassle and at a very low rate, then Net10 cell phone is really for you.

I guess it is about time for me to stop for now talking about Net10 prepaid cell phone plan. I will continue in the next post more about Net10 especially their cell phones and which cell phones from net10 are the best options for you and which cell phone has the best web browser. We will talk more on Net10 unlimited text plan as well as other net10 plans. Don’t worry, I will try my best to touch every single thing about Net10 in my next post. Note: be my guest to read my complaint at Tracfone Prepaid Phone Plan Review.

Have a good one guys!

Is T-Mobile the Worst Cell Phone Plan - Review

I have come across many sites and blogs that told us about the advantages of using T-Mobile and yet to find one that truly described how well the service is. The motive behind why I wanted to find such reviews about the phone plan is because I have been bombarded with some emails these few weeks (sorry, I don’t have the time to answer all of them, so I posted the answer here) asking me whether T-Mobile is beyond doubt the best prepaid cell phone plan in the United States. Well, I thought to myself that it is time to do a little research on this and there you go, a post for you to tell you whether T-Moible is the worst service plan ever.

I am sorry if my tenet here can only cater tmobile plan in the United States and not at other countries since I believe that the concern now is whether the company is providing the US citizens a competitive plan comparing to other prepaid cell phone plans in the US. Since US has the biggest market ever (IMHO) and so far I have never seen so many prepaid service providers in the country than any other countries in this world, I decided that I would do my research based on reviews about us t mobile. In the meantime, I will continue my research for other countries and when the time comes, I’ll post the bloody t mobile reveiw here.

As far as I am concerned T-Mobile is considered the largest prepaid cell phone service provider in the US and therefore people delicately named it as the best plan. Well, I don’t think that is true at all. Being the largest means the largest; and that’s it. Microsoft is the biggest IT company that is producing operating system for computers yet it is not the best. Being the best is another anecdote here. I am compelled to inform you that based on some researches I have done in the past about T-Mobile – it is not worth it.

Let’s talk about the service itself. When we talk about phone service, what is the most important thing that we need to know first? Of course, the cell phone reception. According to what I read from what I can say a reliable resource, tmoblie doesn’t have a good reception and coverage in many areas especially in suburban areas. Therefore it is not useful if you the network coverage is only good at your own areas but at the same time it is bad at other areas. What good a phone is with that kind of bad reception? What you need from a good cell phone service is its recption and network coverage and when the provider provides great coverage across the country, then you can say the service is the best. I don’t see that in TMobile and yet it is still voted as the best cell phone service provder.

That’s not about it. I have also heard some news that t mbile does not provide a good customer service. Most of the representatives have bad manners and they are unable to provide excellent customer service. Furthermore, there are many amongst them who could only concern about making money out of any calls by offering extra services and features to be added to the original plans. When calls come in, they have all the details about the plan used by the caller and from there they cunningly asked few questions to lure the caller to what they actually wanted to tell which is to add more services. More services means more commissions. If the call is plainly a trouble call or pertaining to technical issues, you might just have to wait for hours to get your issues to be resolved, and that if you are lucky. If you are not that lucky, you might just end up whining about the service and have to be patient using the crappy plan till the contract ends.

Is that fair to you? Is that what you want from a good prepaid cell phone plan?

Well, that’s not exactly what I want from a cell phone company. What I want is a good service in every single matter. I don’t care if the coverage is so-so yet the company is offering me an overall good service. I shouldn’t have no problem contacting the customer careline and receive a good assistance. I shouldn’t have no problem to switch from one plan to another plan without having to pay silly amount of service charge. At least, that’s not what happen to me with my service provider.

Speaking about contract, I have long promoted the prepaid plan since I know for fact that contract-based plans will just sucking out money from your account. Unless you use your cell phone regularly or if you are stuck to cellphone most of the time, then the contract-based plans are not the ones for you. If you are not happy with the plan, you can’t get out from it unless you pay a bloody-hell expensive cancellation fee and you can’t keep your cell hpone! I don’t think that is a good idea at all and if you want to keep your money out from all this blood-sucking plans, use prepaid plans. You don’t have to worry about getting stupid plan since you can always swich to other plans easily without spending too much. Furthermore, it it easier to just get another refill card whenever you are out of credit at almost any cell phone stores; Target for instance.

Some people love T Mobile. Yet some don’t feel too good about the plan that they are using so they decided to change it when it is time to renew the contract. So they called up the customer service and guess what, they were told to renew the contract, they have to pay certain amount and then the line will be disconnected for few days to allow the transition. So within that few days, how the heck am I supposed to make calls with my cell phone? What’s the point of paying more when you can’t use the phone simply because you ask to switch to new phone plan? This is wehre you should think to switch from Pay-As-You-Go mindset to Pay-More?-Go-To-Hell! mindset lol.

I was told that when you signed up for a contract with T-Mobile, you have two weeks to decide whether the coverage is good enough or not. The problem is, how can you decide whether the coverage is good or not? If the company is selling the contract in Nevada, shouldn’t the company is the first to know how good the reception is in Nevada? Shouldn’t the sales rep inform that to you in the first place instead of asking you try it out for the first 14 days? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to decide whether the phone plan from T-Mobile is worst or not with that kind of marketing strategy.

You don’t sell a product unless you are certain that it works. If you know that the coverage is not good, then you don’t sell it unless you just want to take some money out from the poor farmer. That poor fellow might not have the time to figure out the scheme. He might also have no idea how to decide on that whether the coverage is good or not if what he does everyday is just wake up in the morning, eat some cereal and milk, go to grocery store and buy some potatoes and pomfret fish (and some pop corn perhaps), go back and ask his wife to cook while he go to feed his ducks, come back and take his lunch and watch tv all day long. I bet he would return the phone within 14 days and ask for refund from t mobile. He might found out the flaw when he goes out of the town to meet his ex schoolmate in Georgia and fails to call his wife’s cell phone. And by that time, it has been months and I don’t think that t mobilw would refund for such unfortunate circumstances.

There goes my two cents about T-Mobile. If you think that T-Mobile provides you the worst service ever, then you may be right. If worse comes to worst, I recommend you to just switch to another cell phone plan. Period.

Cheers!

Site Build It Scam Reviews-Reviews Collection

Updated on April 2009 - If you want to learn how to make money online, you are welcom to read my post on how to make money online with Adsense for beginners.

Have you ever heard of Site Build It? Do you know that the site has helped many people to earn money online? I am not posting this to provide you with either positive or negative reviews about the site but rather to help “balancing the reviews”. There are just too many of Site Build It reviews out there that are not contributing to the online world at all. People search the net for information and it is just unethical to mislead people through false information.

Site Build It has built its reputation for many years but throughout all that time, none of the members were given a chance to voice out their negative opinions. If they failed, they have nowhere to go. If they voice out their bad thoughts about Site Built It in forums or blogs, they will be bombarded with "Site Build It Special Teams" vicious responses. Retaliation is a wrong way to defend your product. If your product is good, you should be calm and react rationally to any comments or suggestions and eventually people will know that your product is a great one. Another thing that the Site Build It members should take note is suggestions from others. Listen to them. If they are good suggestions, don’t you think you can implement it to your product to make it better? The more features you put into your product, the more valuable the product becomes. When the product becomes a great one, then many would simply flock to the site and join. There is no need to retaliate and acted like scumbags.

Like Griz have said in his post Site Build It Review, there is no point being a bully simply because someone criticized your product. Listen to these people to improve your product. Don’t find ways to topple them down. We are not here to sink another Titanic (if you know what I mean). We are here as a team to help beginners making money online the right way the honest way.

Note: I am in no position to say that Site Build It is a waste-of-money product as I have never tried the product before. If you have tried it and it works for you, then that is good for you and I congratulate you for that. However, to SBI members, don't try to say that the product is the only product that can help you to make money online. Don't be so fanatic about it. What is so wrong with listening to others? If you can't take the heat, then leave the place and reanalyze the product. See where it goes wrong and how you can improve it.

If you are looking for honest reviews about Site Build It and SiteSell, below are some places that you could go to get a different set of reviews about Site Build It.

Vic from BloggerUnleashed has posted a great review on Site Build It at Site Build It Noobs are Funny.

Steve did a superb unbiased review too at Is Site Build It a Scam?

Splork from LostBallInHighWeeds said that Site Build It is a waste of money. See Another Online Scam from Site Build It.

AdTracker poked me in the stomach and made me laugh with his witty and humorous review at Site Build It Reviews.

Fiar from RadioActiveLiberty did an excellent post on why is this campaign a successful one at Site Build It Scam Trolls.

Bruce has his own opinion about Site Build It at What Constitutes a Scam?

Vic did the review on video! Check out Site Build It Scam - Exposed Video.

Lastly, the one who triggered this war, Lissie's post about Site Build It scam at Site Build It Review.

This special campaign is another proven method by the Niche Support that if you know the right technique ( and of course, the right community), then you can easily make money online. If you really want to make money onine using the right techniques, then join the network for FREE. Yes, it is FREE.

The community that we have is not about taking down others. We don't do that. We don't go and slap others. We don't humiliate people. However, the way that the so-called "SBI Rapid Response Team" responded to the article wrote by Lissie is unacceptable. That is not how professionals work. Only a troll works like that. We hate trolls and bullies. Hope that they have learned a good lesson from this exercise that retaliation and intimidation are not the way to let people trust your product, SBI. Remember, Site Build It is not a thaumaturgy and Evoy is not a thaumaturge in "make money online" world.

If let say for instance Griz's method to make money online is no longer working and someone pointed about it, then I am sure enough that Griz would nod to that and quickly embrace newer methods. An Internet Marketer like Griz will always do that. Read his "make money online encyclopedia" and you will see and learn many techniques he preached to make money online; some still work and some don't work anymore.

P/S- If you are looking information about prepaid cell phone plans, I am sorry that this post does not help you. Please feel free to roam around in this blog. Thanks for visiting.

Updated on March 30 2009 - Update: It seems like everything goes well with the campaign. However, there are few notes to be taken and they are the reasons why this is a "war". No one had ever intended (at least not from our side) to turn it into a battle. Unfortunately, there are pyshophantics in SBI who couldn't help but came to Lissie site and put up vicious and threatening statements in the site.

At least from that post, beginners who want to make money online who found out about SBI will learn something about SBI. At least, a fraction from the truth. We can't deny that. It is hard to find other reviews about SBI out there that are giving unbiased review of the product. Of course, it will take hours to read all of the comments there but hey, if you are going to spend USD$300 or more on something, would you mind wasting a few hours to study about it first? I don't think so. I believe that most of us are now more educated and well-informed about the scams in this world and we hate to be cheated by others.

I am not sure why were the SBI'ers so angry when Lissie wrote the scam review. Why didn't they jump when they google "site buid it scam" before and we see their Google sponsored affiliate links titled Site Build It Scam? or Site Build It Exposed?. Because those are how they "lure" you into reading their sites and instead of being told that the program is useless, they told you how the great the product is and they ask you click their affiliate link.

We notified about this in the discussion, and according to some sources, the company owner's had instructed that those advertisements with that sort of titles to be taken down from Google Adwords.

The campaign works. At least to avoid people from falling into booby traps.

Today I have tried to googel for site build it scam and I still see few of these titles.

"Don't Buy Site Build It" - The Good, Bad and Ugly? Any alternatives? Read More... - from SiteBuldIt-Review.com/special.

"Site Build It Exposed" - Check out my site build it review and read my important message first! - from revealingreview.com/sitebuldit

"Site Build It Revealed" - How true are their claims? Find out secret today - from www.federalreveiws.com

All these are "excellent" reviews to get you into joining SiteBuildIt without thinking twice. Yes, without thinking twice. They won't tell you anything negative about the product.

Is that what you call a review?

A review goes about telling you the pros and cons of a product. Therefore Lissie's review is the best reference for that purpose. You will become confuse sometimes but eventually you will learn about the product from both SBI users and ex-users. I tell you what, this is what you can do to properly interpret the discussion; Open your Excel make two columns. One column for whatever good things about Sitebuildit you have read and another column is for any negative things about the product. It doesn't matter if the points are more at one side. What is more importat is to gather relevant points. The more relevant points you have, the more wiseful your decision will become. Good luck!

Satellite Phone Rentals

Many have found that the usage of satellite phones is a smart choice whenever they go for traveling abroad. The perceptions are the satellite phones are better in terms of their receptions and coverage. However, due to the fact that using satellite phones will cost you more than using the standard hand held devices or normal phones is not allowing many of us to enjoy the great service offered in satellite phones packages. Today we will look into few of packages that are offered worldwide for those who are in needs of high quality services.

Traveling outside from the country requires a lot of preparation and it is common amongst travelers to leave out few things that are important to bring with. One of them is cell phone. However, some claimed that the reason why they left their mobile phone behind is due to the fact that their phone services are not available out of the country or that the phone that they have is not from GSM type and therefore can’t be used to insert other carriers SIM card. What are the options then if you need to travel out of the country and the same time you want to keep in touch with your loved ones as well as your business associates?

Yes, you can have a great and sophisticated mobile phone such as BlackBerry Bold 9000 mobile phone or Nokia N97 mobile phone but all these phones are useless when you travel abroad if they can’t be used at all. Most phone carriers in the United States require you to buy their phone plans with the mobile too and therefore the phones are locked. They can’t be used for other carriers even if you try to change the SIM card. Do you know how to change your SIM card? I bet that some don’t even know how to their SIM cards which are located most of the time beneath your mobile’s battery at the back side of the phone.

Whenever you travel abroad one of the most important things that you should bring is certainly your mobile phone. The mobile should be your mean to communicate with your family back in the home country and also an effective mean to communicate with your business colleagues. Of course that some may prefer to communicate using emails or video conferences as these mediums may appear cheaper than any other communication mediums. However, thanks to rapid technology advancements, mobile phone these days should be able to be used either within the country or also outside of the country.

There are times when the mobile becomes useless when you travel abroad. This is usually the case when the phone is locked by the phone service provider in order to avoid the clients from running away with the mobile phone. If you are one of those who have this kind of locked phones, then don’t worry too much since there is another way to communicate with your loved ones anytime anywhere. You can use satellite phones.

Satellite prepaid phones are available for rentals anywhere in the country. You can rent this satellite mobile for days or weeks and impressively this mobile can be used anywhere without much hassle. As you know, since they are satellite-based, the phones are powerful enough in terms of the signal reception as well as the quality of the voice calls. The satellite phones are certainly the alternative to bringing your mobile abroad. Renting the satellite phones is a breeze since you can just look up for any available mobile rental shop near your location and you should be able to easily rent one of these satellite prepaid phones.

Phones that are satellite-based are phones that can’t be denied for their excellent performance. If you travel at places that are located in mountainous areas or full of forests areas, then I suggest you to use satellite mobile. How good a satellite phone is? Well in order for you to find out why a satellite phone is always a better choice, you should first understand the concept behind a satellite phone. Most satellite phones these days use LEO or Low Earth Orbit satellite technology. The technology of this satellite system has a lot of advantages where it provides worldwide wireless coverage where the receptions are virtually unstoppable no matter what obstacles you have in the surrounding areas such as mountains or if you are somewhere in low altitude areas.

Since satellite phones are the best choices when traveling abroad, many companies have emerged to reap the money that can be gained from this business. Some companies provided crap services. These companies are just trying to earn some easy money out of us. However, there are still some good companies out there who are committed to provide great satellite cell phones.

We will take a look at some of these satellite phones that can either be rented or purchased from these reliable companies.

Iridium Satellite Phones Rental

You can actually get this satellite phone for rental from SatellitePhoneStore.Com. From what I read in some discussions in cell phone forums, the site is offering you a wide range of satellite phones for rental. Therefore I can say that this company has quite a reputation in satellite phones industry. You can rent the satellite phone from as low as $24.95 a week. The Global Iridium satellite phone is claimed by the company to be the only truly global satellite phone network. If you rent the phone, you can make long distance calls to United States if you travel to any other countries. There will be no long distance or roaming charges for that. All the usual basic functions such as voice calls, text messages (SMS), and also the capability to make local emergency calls is available in this satellite phone.

If you prefer to send out text messages or SMS using this satellite phone, you will be charged only 59 cents for each outgoing SMS. To me, that is considered cheap since if you just bring your normal cell phone and activate the global roaming capability, you might be charged for more for that same purpose. This is what is best about renting satellite phones. Each approved rental will be given the full package including two batteries and then you will be given a brief lecture on how to properly use the satellite phone. You will be told that the satellite phone can be used almost anywhere. For instance, if you are supposed to be working at the ocean, you will be told on how to get the best reception and coverage. If they don’t tell you, then make an effort to ask them.

If you frequently travel abroad and tend to travel at hilly places, I recommend you to get yourself a satellite phone. Instead of renting the phone, you should buy one for yourself. The company does have a great satellite phone for sale. The latest satellite phones that they have in stock are Iridium 9555 portable satellite phones, Iridum 9505A satellite phones, Motorola 9500 satellite phones, and Kyocera SS66K satellite phones.

The 9555 portable satellite phone is a small and light satellite phone. It is built and designed to be stronger than any other Iridium satellite phones. The company also claimed the satellite cell phone is the smallest satellite phone ever created. If you purchase this phone, you will be given a phone charger, an international plug kit or travel kit, a car charger, a rechargeable lithium ion battery, a USB to mini-USB data cable for connecting to laptop or PC, a hands-free headset, a cell phone holster, a manual (of course you need that), and an auxiliary antenna and its adapter.

Let’s take a look at the satellite phone’s specifications. The phone has a dimension of 143mm by 55mm by 30mm and weighs about 266 grams. The standby time is up to thirty hours and talk time can go up to four hours. The display however does not a wide screen and definitely not my choice if I want to get myself a normal cell phone. Since this is a satellite phone, it is designed to be rugged for all kinds of weather conditions, therefore the keypad is weather-resistant and it is illuminated. The satellite phone is also pre-programmable with international access codes, so you easily navigate for any international code that you would like to dial to with this handheld phone. Apart from that, this unique satellite phone also has other standard features like voice mailbox, ringtones and alert tones, internal phonebook, and SIM-based address book with 155 entry capacity.

The Iridium 9505A portable satellite phone is similar to Motorola 9505 but this latest invention is smaller in size and lighter in weight. The complete package can cost you less than $1400 but if you prefer to have the demo satellite phone, you can get it for less than $1200. The demo version is subject to available stock and they are actually a collection of rented satellite phones. So don’t be shocked to see these phones with some flaws since they have been rented for many times but overall the demo satellite phones are still in good condition. I am pretty sure that they have refurbished the cell phones to be qualified to be sold again.

Motorola Iridium 9500 satellite phone demo version on the other hand is also a great choice if you don’t have the budget. If you purchase the Motorola satellite phone, you will be given a warranty of six months. The “Motorola Iridium 9500” satellite phone comes with high capacity battery, lather case, portable auxiliary antenna, and other necessary travel kit. The Kyocera SS66K satellite cell phone is by far not really a great choice (to me at least) but the phone is still reliable. It is an alternative version of Iridium phones.

Globalstar Satellite Phones

The company also has a few Globalstar satellite phones for sale. According to them, the Globalstar GSP-1700 satellite phone is not anymore in stock. The Globalstar satellite phone is a small satellite phone and the designs are great. The phone has an antenna at one end which communicates with the constellation of Globalstar satellites if held in a vertical position. Since it is very light (about 200 grams) and small, the “Globalstar satellite phone” is a smart choice for light travelers.

Another satellite phone from Globalstar is GSP-1600. The GSP-1600 satellite phone meets the needs of any users working in areas where the normal cell phone’s coverage is either unavailable or inaccessible. Refurbished Cell Phones

While running through a bulk of emails in my secondary email account I noticed that there are a few of them offering me to buy refurbished cell phones. Out of curiosity, I checked one of them which had a good offer on refurbished cells so I decided to give it a look. Unfortunately, the site that I went to was a horrible one and full of affiliate stuffs which I immediately turned away from. I just can’t accept a site like that since to me, that would means that the site is nothing more than phishing websites. So I go on and searched the web on where to find a legit place to buy refurbished cell phones.

During the search, I have encountered few sites that are selling refurbished cell phones and one of them is AT&T. What I really like about AT&T refurbished cell phones is only because I love the fact that the cell phone carrier is one of the most reputable companies. I don’t have to worry about being scammed though the possibility is still there. Furthermore, I can’t expect to get a refurbished cell phone that is 100% good in condition since the cell phone is a refurbished one. If you want to get a 100% quality, then I suggest you look for new cell phones and not refurbished cell phones.

Before I go further into our discussion, I would like to discuss more about the concept behind getting a refurbished cell phone instead of the new one. Apart from discussing about the price which is the main factor that drives people to buy refurbished cell phones, it will be great if we know few things about refurbished cell phones and what does it really mean by refurbished. In order to do so, I have done a short survey on this topic and the question that I asked the participants is “Is Buying Refurbished Cell Phone a Good Idea?”. Out of 100 participants, almost 90% of them are refurbished cell phone owners and therefore the result can be considered almost accurate since almost all of them have the experience of using refurbished cell phones.

Refurbished cell phone owners claimed that the refurbished cells are as good as new which I consider as a serious claim. They couldn’t have claimed something as bold as that unless they have totally test the refurbished cell phones on their own. Well the best part is each and every one of the refurbished cell phone owners owns a different model of cell phone. Therefore, the result is an interesting one to be discussed about. I took the effort by checking all of their refurbished cell phones and I have to agree with them that they are in good condition and the flaws are minors.

You see, most of the time the refurbished cell phones are actually cell phones that were returned by the first users to the carrier or to the store within 30 days due to many reasons. Once returned, the cell phones are no longer available to be categorized under new cell phones. Unfortunately, most of the reasons that the cell phones were returned are only due to dissatisfaction with the cell phone’s features. Therefore 90% of the returned cell phones are still in good condition since they are no damages whatsoever. Of course, there are few scratches here and there but they are minor scratches and most of the time the sellers would more than likely to slash down few more dollars and thus the price of refurbished cell phones are significantly lower than the new ones.

That comes up to the next reason why people look for refurbished cell phones instead of the new cell phones. Refurbished cell phones are cheaper than the new cell phones and therefore those who are interested to save some money but still want to have a good cell phone, the refurbished cell phones are the best alternatives. Perhaps this is also the fact that makes the refurbished cell phones popular and I can say that they are gaining popularity day by day. However, being cheaper does not mean that the refurbished phones have lesser capabilities than the brand new cell phones. Remember, refurbished cell phones are cell phones that were used by someone else in a short period of time and if they were returned to the sellers within thirty days, there are less than likely to find any flaws with the cell phones.

Some people are just latecomers. While many of us gossiping about the latest LG cell phones in the market, they might not show any interest at all at the time. A few months later, when the news is no longer news, they might jump to their feet to get the LG cell phones for themselves when they see some of us carrying the cell phones around. By the time, the cell phone’s price might have dropped a little. However, when they go out and shopping for the cell phones, they also found out that there are few cell phone stores selling the refurbished LG cell phones. Since the price is a far cry from the new cell phone, they are more than likely to purchase the refurbished one.

These people are those that might be the ones that hype the reputation of refurbished cell phones. They have no interest at keeping up with the latest trends whilst they are still hot but when the popularity is going down, that’s when they go out and do the shopping. Lucky for them they are the ones who found out first about refurbished mobile phones. Other types of people who found out first about refurbished phones are those who don’t have the budget when the cell phones first out. They just have to keep their desires to own the cell phones for a while and when they have the money, they go out to shop for the cell phones and again, they would find the refurbished cell phones too.

Some people are just strict when it comes to money spending. They don’t go for stylish trends nor do they go for luxury. They prefer to keep their money and spend it only during emergencies or whenever their needs arise. They don’t spend their money on sporty cars or diamonds. And certainly they won’t spend few hundred dollars to buy a cell phone. They are the people who will always find a way to have things like everyone else in a cheaper way and also legit ways. Therefore they are also one of the major clients of refurbished cell phones.

I have another reason why people choose to buy refurbished cell phones but this reason might be a little bit illogical to some people. Some environmental activists believe that buying refurbished cell phones would help to clean up the environment from unused cell phones. Some morons would just throw their damaged cell phones out and they don’t realize that they are actually damaging the earth and the soil as well. Therefore the concept of refurbished cell phones can be considered as one of the efforts to save our planet since it is also another version of recycling things.

There are also those who don’t believe at all at refurbished cell phones or used cell phones. To them, these cell phones are craps that are not supposed to be sold for any reasons. If you are one of these people, I assume that you regularly buy cell phones as you want to keep up-to-date at all times. You like to own latest gadgets and since cell phones are items that are constantly being manufactured with more and more features, they are one of the items that you are craving for.

Buying refurbished cell phones means buying used electronic devices and therefore you should consider taking all crucial inspections before you decide to buy them. You should never buy refurbished cell phones from unknown sources such as Ebay unless the seller has a reputable and sound track record. Same goes when you go out shopping for refurbished cell phones out there. Your first choice should first be the reputable companies. There are a few reputable companies selling refurbished cell phones and we will go into that later in our discussion. A little bit of homework has to be done before you jump into conclusion to buy a refurbished cell phone.

If you see refurbished cell phone that has a lower price, you should first ask the vendor of the seller why is the phone being sold at such a price. They should be able to tell you the accurate reason of the cheap refurbished cell phone as there are many factors to be put into consideration before they tag the refurbished cell phone with that price. For instance, there might be some scratches on the cell phone’s screen or a few on the body and thus the lower price. Once you know the reason, inspect the cheap refurbished cell phone thoroughly to check if the scratches are deep or not. If they are just normal scratches, then check the cell phone’s operating system.

Refurbished cell phones are normally still in good condition in terms of their functionalities and their operating system. So check the menu, the built-in camera (if there is one), the 3G capability, and so on. Don’t hesitate to inspect the refurbished cell phones meticulously and trust me the sales rep won’t stop you from doing so. Another thing that you should also check when buying refurbished cell phones is the cell phone’s warranty. Most of the time the refurbished cell phones come with 90-day warranty instead of a year in the case of new cell phones but that is more than enough to convince you that if you found out later that there is something wrong with the refurbished cell phones, you can still return it and get yourself another one that is better in condition.

Now that you have already know about refurbished cell phones, let’s take a look at some of available refurbished cell phones in the market offered by established companies and other cell phone vendors. Keep in mind that these cell phones are refurbished to look like new cell phones so a thorough and detailed examination has to be made at all times. If you are lucky, you might get a refurbished cell phone that is as good as new yet the price is a far cry from the new ones.

AT&T as you all know is a very established cell phone carrier and therefore the refurbished cell phones that they sell might be a lot more convincing than other sellers. There are few cell phone brands and cell phone models available at AT&T and though they are refurbished phones, they are still great in terms of their manifestation and also their functions. One of the brands is refurbished Apple iPhone 3G from AT&T. You can get either an 8GB refurbished iPhone or even the 16GB refurbished Apple iPhone and currently the company is offering a $100 discount on the refurbished Apple cell phones. You can choose either the black version or the white version.

If you are a Nokia fan, you can also get refurbished Nokia cell phones from AT&T. At this time they only have refurbished Nokia 2600 cell phone in two different colors; black and red. Though the refurbished Nokia cell phone is lack of few modern features, it is still a good refurbished phone as it also has a VGA camera and you still store your favorite MP3 ringtones. The refurbished Nokia cell phone can also be used to surf the Internet and as far as the price is concerned, the refurbished phone is still a great investment.

Some people might be more interested to have a clamshell type of cell phone. If you are one of those, then maybe you will be more interested to get the Samsung’s refurbished cell phones from AT&T. The model that is currently available is refurbished Samsung A237 cell phones and currently there are three colors available which are black, red, and blue. You can get the refurbished discount up to $30 for these Samsung A237 cell phones. Another clamshell cell phone model that is available at this company is refurbished Sony Ericsson Z310a and the discount is up to $130.

A girl might be more fascinated to get a refurbished cell phone such as the refurbished Nokia 6085 cell phone. The refurbished phones are still in tip-top condition and that could be the reason why the refurbished pink Nokia cell phone is being offered at a price which is only few dollars away from the new cell phone. If you are more into smartphones, then you also might take a look at refurbished Moto Q Global cell phone which is a Windows Mobile based cell phone. The refurbished cell phone offers versatile 3G communications, productivity and multimedia services that meet the needs of those who are tech savvy.

Most of the time you can buy refurbished cell phones with confidence at a great price since these refurbished cell phones have been tested by the vendors before they resell them as refurbished phones. Since the mobile market has expanded vastly and people are more aware of the refurbished cell phones, many companies have taken initiatives by meticulously refurbished the cell phones that they purchase from other sources. So if you are in the market for refurbished cell phones, I wish you all the best and happy shopping.

Cheers!
